What is an End-Point Assessment?

Why choose us?

An end-point assessment organisation must be an organisation listed on the register of end-point assessment organisations. Employers select an organisation from the register, and it’s important to find one that’s the best fit for them and their apprentices.

As part of Skills and Education Group Awards, we specialise in endpoint assessments for the fashion and textiles sectors. Our experience with the standards for these industries means we know exactly what employers and apprentices need. We make the assessment process clear, easy to use and responsive, ensuring that employers and apprentices are fully supported throughout.

About the Apprenticeship Levy

What is it?

The government has a target of 3 million apprentices by the year 2020. The Apprenticeship Levy supports this by funding the delivery of new apprenticeships and quality training for them. Ultimately, the levy enhances opportunities for people building vocational skills and pursuing career opportunities, while ensuring that businesses have the trained, skilled employees that they need.

How does it work?

All UK employers with an annual payroll of more than £3 million contribute 0.5% of their payroll to the Apprenticeship Levy. These employers receive one annual allowance of £15,000 to offset their levy payment. Employers below this payroll threshold do not pay in.

All employers can draw from the levy pot to train apprentices, with 90%-100% of the costs of training funded by the government.

How does it help?

Employers committed to training receive greater value from the levy than what they pay in via skilled workers and increased productivity. This leads to increased profits, and, for workers, increased wages. It’s a win-win.

I’m doing this part time, which means I can fit it in around family commitments.

Sue, IEPA

We’re understanding where we can use our areas of expertise in a new area of apprenticeships.

Andrea, IEPA

I think it’s quite nice to be in a position to give something back to the Fashion and Textile industry.
