In order to embed timely delivery of vocational technical qualification (VTQ) results in 2024 and beyond, Skills and Education Group Awards has released the below dates to ensure that students who need to progress to further or higher education are not disadvantaged.
These dates apply to Centres delivering the following qualifications:
- SEG Awards Level 3 Certificate in General Patisserie and Confectionery
- SEG Awards Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology for Wellbeing
- SEG Awards Level 3 Diploma in Fabrication and Welding Techniques and Skills
- SEG Awards Level 3 Certificate in Fabrication and Welding Techniques and Skills
- SEG Awards Level 3 Diploma in Welding Techniques and Skills
- SEG Awards Level 3 Diploma in Photography
- SEG Awards Level 3 Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy
- SEG Awards Level 3 Diploma in Textiles Technology
- SEG Awards Level 3 Diploma in Work-Based Animal Care and Welfare
- SEG Awards Level 3 Certificate in Fashion and Textiles
- SEG Awards Level 3 Certificate in Practical Animal Care Skills
- SEG Awards Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills
- SEG Awards Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art Design and Media
To ensure that results are available in time for learners to progress, Skills and Education Group Awards will require Centres to meet the following dates:
29 February 2024 – Date by which Centres must have informed Skills and Education Group Awards of their Senior Designated Contact. This must be a senior member of staff with decision-making authority. This person must be available throughout the awarding period to ensure any queries can be resolved swiftly.
29 February 2024 – Date by which Centres must inform Skills and Education Group Awards of the specific learners that require a result in summer 2024.
29 February 2024 – Deadline for registration of all learners to be included in summer moderation. Note: late registrations will incur a late registration fee.
1 May 2024 – Date by which moderation/EQA visits must have been arranged.
30 June 2024 – Date by which all moderation/EQA activity must have taken place.
15 July 2024 – Final date by which claims must have been made on the ORS platform.
Skills and Education Group Awards will ensure that all learners are certificated no later that 12 August 2024, subject to the above key dates being met by Centres.
We will contact Centres directly where they have learners registered to one of the above qualifications.
Failure to meet the above key dates may result in Skills and Education Group Awards taking further action in line with our Malpractice and Maladministration Policy and our Sanctions Policy.
