This qualification will help learners to develop the two skills of speaking and listening.
On successful completion of this qualification, learners will be able to understand and use basic words and phrases in familiar situations. Learners will be able to take part in simple interactions, applying the basic rules of pronunciation and employing appropriate and commonly used conventions. They will begin to develop an awareness of the cultural conventions in the target language.
