For those learners interested in working with small animals in the land-based sector, this qualification provides a practical introduction. Learners will gain work-related skills in the area of small animal care, develop employability skills, and prepare for further training. Learners will complete this qualification with a concrete understanding of the following:
- How to recognise important body parts of small animals, their function, and parts that are commonly checked for health
- Optional units include: Check That a Small Animal is Healthy, Process Customer Orders for Goods in a Retail Environment, Assist with animal accommodation, and more.
