Lincoln Electric UK is embarking on a multi-faceted plan to raise welding education standards across the nation and at the heart of this is a newly approved partnership with Skills and Education Group Awards.
Skills and Education Group Awards is a leading national awarding organisation with a long-established reputation for providing high-quality support and services to the educational sector. The partnership sees Lincoln Electric endorse Skills and Education Group Awards’ newly developed Fabrication and Welding qualifications to provide UTC’s, schools, colleges, other further education and skills providers and employers with an industry leading qualification suite.
In addition, Skills and Education Group Awards will be providing a Digital Learning platform to allow training providers to utilise the Lincoln Electric U/LINC suite of delivery materials. This will support welding educators with the consistent delivery of training, allowing them to create bespoke training packages for individual businesses.
Commenting on the partnership, Jason Scales, Head of Education at Lincoln Electric said:
“We are excited to have this partnership with Skills and Education Group Awards. This will provide us with an incredible platform to share Lincoln Electric’s 100 plus years’ worth of knowledge in welding training, research and instruction with these institutions and redefine what a quality welding education programme should look like.”
Paul Eeles, Chief Executive of Skills and Education Group Awards, added:
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with Lincoln Electric to provide colleges, training providers and other institutions with high-quality training resources and qualifications that are designed to meet industry need.”
