8 January 2021
On 4 January 2021 further national restrictions were put in place to limit the spread of COVID-19. It was also confirmed by the government that exams will not go ahead this summer. We are awaiting further information as to how this may impact the delivery of vocational qualifications.
In the meantime, the Extended Extraordinary Regulatory Framework (EERF) is in place and is designed to support you through the 2020/21 academic year. This framework allows adaptions to be made to the delivery and assessment of our qualifications. You can find further guidance on individual qualification pages on our website. Please note not all qualifications will have specific guidance. To submit adaptions, you must complete and return this form. We aim to respond to all requests within five working days.
We are awaiting additional guidance from the regulators. Should you have any feedback, or suggestions relating to last summer’s assessment arrangements we would encourage you to share it with us via email.
We remain committed to providing you with the support you need in the delivery of our qualifications. To ensure you remain updated, we will be launching a dedicated COVID-19 Hub on our website early next week. We will use the Hub to share updates, and any relevant documents that you may need over the coming weeks and months.
We would also ask that you ensure that your key contact details are up to date for your Centre. If you need to make changes please contact our Customer Support Team on 0115 854 1620.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your Relationship Manager or our Customer Support Team.
