We help learners meet the requirements for becoming qualified counsellors

Our qualifications are designed to help individuals start their career in counselling. They have been developed in association with Skills for Health, the Sector Skills Council for the Health and Social Care Sector, ensuring that they meet the needs of the industry.

In order to become a qualified counsellor, learners must complete certain basic training requirements. The Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling includes supervised placement hours, enabling learners to meet these requirements. Completion of the qualification is a key step towards becoming a qualified counsellor.

Skills and Education Group Awards offers counselling qualifications at Levels 2, 3 and 4. We support learners at all stages in their journey towards becoming a counsellor.

Learners must complete a Level 3 counselling qualification before they can progress to the Level 4 Diploma. We offer both the Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills and the Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills.
