THIS QUALIFICATION HAS EXPIRED AND IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR NEW REGISTRATIONS.

This qualification replaces the Level 2 NVQ in Animal Care and has been developed in collaboration with industry, providers and Lantra. It develops practical skills, promotes sound working practices that are fully in accordance with Animal Welfare requirements, and fosters effective communication skills, team-working, and customer satisfaction. Learners will complete this qualification with a concrete understanding of the following:

  • Available units include: Control and Restrain Animals, Provide Controlled Exercise Opportunities for Animals, Establish and Maintain Effective Working Relationships with Others, and more
